Pipeliner® Autoshield™ HW

Pipeliner® AutoShield® HW is a self-shielded electrode designed to be used in automated and mechanized pipe welding solution. Without shielding gas, Pipeliner® AutoShield® HW helps simplifies logistic and assist in reducing fabrication costs compared to other gas-shield processes. Tailored for premium performance on vertical down welding to help lower heat inputs and provide consistent mechanical properties, with impact toughness down to -20°F.

Typical Applications

• Welding of API Grade X-70 pipe in cross country pipeline applications
• Typically used when wall thickness is ½ in. or greater
