Lincoln Electric has introduced the new LT-10D Submerged Arc Welding Tractor, a highly adaptable welding solution designed to keep production moving in demanding environments.
The LT-10D welding tractor’s modular design facilitates rapid changeovers and easy transport through tight spaces, while a configurable platform enables operating crews to tailor the setup to match their specific needs. Paired with submerged arc power sources featuring ArcLink® technology, like the Power Wave® AC/DC® 1000 or the Flextec® 650X, the LT-10D delivers high deposition rates well suited for butt and fillet joints on long plate welding applications.
Key features of the LT-10D include:
- Tool-free modularity for quick changeovers: Fast, tool-free setup and teardown into compact 50-pound-or-less modules that move easily through confined spaces – keeping crews productive wherever the job takes them.
- Flexible configurations to meet jobsite demands: A flexible platform allows crews the freedom to configure the tractor to fit their workflow. The tractor operates with or without a track and supports three- or four-wheel configurations, maximizing versatility and keeping production moving.
- Durable construction for tough environments: Dependable performance even in demanding industrial environments. Includes a dovetail system with a robust tube and clamp design for secure mounting.
- Advanced pendant: The lightweight, removable pendant puts intuitive, operator-focused controls right at the weld, enabling operators to recall pre-saved welding parameters, set limits, and apply lockouts.
- High-deposition efficiency: When combined with ArcLink®-capable submerged arc power sources, operators can achieve exceptional deposition rates, making the solution ideal for butt and fillet welds on long plate welding applications.
“Customer feedback played a key role in the development of the LT-10D,” says Kristina Yamaguchi, Product Manager for Industrial Equipment at Lincoln Electric. “We designed it to be quicker to set up, easier to transport, and flexible enough to handle demanding applications and tight workspaces.”
