I have existing machines which I do not want to replace. How difficult is it to integrate a Zeman machine?
Usually straightforward. The SBA is modular and designed to fit into an existing material flow rather than replace it. Zeman defines the interfaces to your current sawing, drilling and conveying equipment and adapts infeed, outfeed and footprint to your layout. Send us your layout and machine list for an assessment.
What is the difference between the SBA Compact, SBA SR Compact and SBA Conti?
Throughput and automation level. The Compact is the full-featured line, the SR Compact is the single-rail variant, and the Conti is built for maximum automation and high volumes. Further variations and custom solutions are available.
What is the difference between an SBA and an SBW system?
The SBA assembles, tacks and welds. The SBW machines weld only, for beams that are already assembled — the SBW Eco for high capacity, the SBW Terminator for fast welding of pre-assembled beams.
How much productivity can we realistically gain?
Manual welding typically reaches 20–25% arc-on time; SBA and SBW systems reach around 65%. The SBA fits an add-on part in under 1.5 minutes, including parts up to 200 kg (440 lbs). We are happy to calculate the gain based on your own production data.
Do we need robot programmers to run an SBA?
No. ProFIT software sends 3D fabrication data straight to the robots — no programming, no robot teaching. ProFit 3D defines robot paths, tacking positions and weld sizes, and runs a collision check before production starts. Zeman trains your team on the machines and the daily workflow.
Which software comes with the system, and what does it run on?
Each system ships with the applications it needs from the ProFit ecosystem — production control, work preparation, laser measurement, statistics and 3D preview — all installed, updated and licensed through the central ProFit Manager. Requirements: Windows 10 or newer, .NET Framework 4.8 and an internet connection.
Can we start smaller and expand later?
Yes. The modular concept supports staged investment: systems are configured to your floor space, capacity and budget, and can be extended or upgraded later. Many customers add further SBA systems after the first line.
What does Zeman offer besides the SBA?
The Enspector for automated part inspection, quality control and sorting; the SIN Beam Machine for beams with an excellent weight-to-strength ratio; rollforming machines; and complete turnkey factories including installation, training and service contracts.
